“From the bitter quest of the Queen of Longtrellis, to two mysterious sisters who provoke the passion of a king, to the King of Highhills obsessed with a giant Flea, these tales are inspired by the fairytales by Giambattista Basile.”
3 Words to Describe this Movie:
enchanting, vivid, and aesthetically-pleasing
Plot-wise, this movie was flat. Nothing popped out to you to think, “wow, this movie changed my life.” It was a compilation of stories that were not entirely tied seamlessly; they were jumbled together. Characters, no one truly stands out to you to allow you to connect with the characters either, but that being said, I did enjoy this film. It was something different to all the films that have been on the big-screen. I really needed that. Although I truly enjoyed watching Wonder Woman, I’m tired of Marvel and superhero films. This film was an anthology of fairy tales, and thus, costume designs were lovely, and there were a few wonderful sets that enraptured me.
To those who want to see something new and enjoy fantasy or simple films. Also, to those who enjoy the artistic experiment of film.
