This month hasn’t been a game changer, but I can see that it is a small step forward. I took this month to focus on myself and to try to heal from a breakup. It’s a new beginning. I’ve rekindled old friendships, spent Sunday nights drinking Margaritas and watching Game of Thrones, walked aisles and aisles of antiques and vintage goods, started my Organic Chemistry class, and binge-watched That’s 70’s show to get a good laugh. All the free time I had this month made me realize that while I prep for nursing school, I’d love to be a Certified Personal Trainer. The idea of having that job excites me so much.
Listening
Die Antwoord’s : Mount Ninji and Da Nice Time Kid. There music isn’t for everyone, but for me it gets me pumped to workout with it’s quirky and fast beats. Listen on Spotify.
Dua Lipa’s: New Rules. Oh my gosh. This song is my anthem right now for my breakup. Not that my ex was a player or anything, but I need this time to myself, and I don’t want to jump back into a relationship with him, so I’ve been singing these rules to myself haha. Listen on Spotify.
Feminist Friday Playlist: I love this playlist, and honestly, it really does empower me. I found Dua Lipa’s song in this playlist. There are a lot of upbeat songs in here. Listen on Spotify.
Watching
Gauge Girl Training: I’ve been watching her videos, so I can educate myself on fitness and health. I just last watched her video on pre-workout supplements because I ran out of mine, and I wanted to buy another, but I wanted to make the most informative decision. You can watch her on Youtube.
That 70’s Show: I needed something to lift my spirits, so I turned to a show I used to watch when I was really young. I also really like to gather inspo from Jackie’s & Laurie’s outfits.
Game of Thrones: Sadly, I just finished finished season 7, and now I have to wait two years till the series last season airs.
Wearing
Guess Corduroy Jeans: My cousin had found these jeans for me at the thrift store in the men’s section. They are super cute and fit me perfectly. They aren’t good to wear in the heat though. I wore them on the few days where it was nice and cool – the days that led me believe that fall is finally coming on time. Check out my post with those jeans!
Black Cotton Romper: On the days that I sit home and blog, I like to wear this piece. It’s comfortable, it’s nice and cool, and it’s cute.
Loving
Spending time with family: Mostly my cousins. The rekindled friendship I mentioned earlier is with my cousin. She’s the one who has been taking photos of me as well. It was nice cause she took me out last week to get tea.
Golden Devil’s Ivy: I just stole this plant from my mother, and I was worried that it was going to die in room because I don’t get much natural light, but it’s been growing pretty well. And, I just love the vibe it gives in my room.

I like this whole “goal review” idea, it’s a nice way to get perspective on how you’ve evolved for the better this month! Proud of you!
(Also, don’t know how I’m gonna deal with having to wait 2 YEARS for Game of Thrones)

Yes! It really does help! I know – it may be impossible, but I hope George RR. Martin publishes his books haha, so I can read them in the meantime

Giving ourselves free time is really important. It helps us to reflect and strategically decide our next moves. As with the case for you, I think being a personal trainer would be awesome! I nominated you for the unique blogger award by the way, but do not feel any pressure to accept! 🙂 x
