June 2018.
I can finally breathe. Instead of deadlines, time was filled with laughter, hugs, and love. Nights with friends in dining rooms never used, and piecing a 1000 piece puzzle. Saturday mornings were dedicated for my love. He was kind enough to help me make pancakes one morning. Protein pancakes. I stole kisses when we were the only two in the kitchen, and he stole a grab at my peach. If you know what I mean. 😉
A week was spent in Vegas to visit my boyfriend’s mother. Most of our days there we hid from the sun in the air-conditioned room. I lingered my legs over his, and they never stuck with stickiness. But, when the room became overly confined, we found our way to the pool. And, after a few hours of the sun and a chemical peel, my face rid the layers of trapped memories of defiant children and long hours of staring into a book into a glowing radiant face.
Ran a mile in 35 minutes, and another mile in 15 minutes… on the treadmill. But, I didn’t forget to increase my incline. You know, to add that challenge and realistic approach of uneven terrain. Most of my days were spent at the gym with my workout buddy. Strength training with few days in between for cardio. Since I was going in so often – I thought, hell, why not get a job here for the summer? Maybe even work as a trainer? Applied. Got hired. Damn, I did well.
What were your favorite memories from June? And, what memories are you planning to make in July? Let me know in the comment section!

Audrey, it definitely can be! If I have too much free time, I sometimes end up doing nothing! So, I try to make a routine out of those days to stay productive haha, and I hope July is going well for you too!

Thank you girly! And yes, I always used to focus on my goals, but never what I accomplished, and the memories in between – so it’s a nice exercise to do 🙂
