September was a month of heartbreak, ache, and frustrations. My dog, my constant companion, had passed away of heart disease. She was 12. And, I was hoping she would live to 13, which would’ve been Halloween night. My boyfriend and I found ourselves trapped in a problem we still have yet to solve. I wasn’t only experiencing heartache outside myself, but within myself as well. Stress and lack of self love had gotten the better of me and my skin became angry with acne. I hated looking in the mirror. I hated looking at myself.
But, this month wasn’t deprived of good times. In actuality, I’d say that it was almost even. I had seen an old friend, a friend I hadn’t seen in 5 years, and which I wasn’t sure if I would ever see him again. I found new exciting alternatives to gluten and dairy free products, I eased myself with yoga once a week, and I started a wonderful routine of waking daily before 7 am. My boyfriend and I celebrated a year of hard work being together by spending time on the ocean looking out for whales and comforting each other watching a horror flick. I also enjoy his company so much that I have a good time doing the ordinary things in life with him. Lastly, after a whole year, I’ve finally passed my personal training program and now can start training clients. I’m excited for what is to come.
How was your September? What did you do and what will you carry in your memory forever? Did you learn something? Let me know in the comment section!
xx Natalie

I’m really sorry about your dog Natalie! I have full blown anxiety about losing my babies, because that’s what they are to me – family! I know a lovely poem that always makes me cry called The Rainbow Bridge which is lovely if you fancy reading it. Sending love ❤
